Not sure what to say?

Nothing seems to come close to express my feelings on Pete, or what his family must feel.

What a great and loving person, who moved through this life with exquisite grace. A person wanted to be around Pete, find excuses to do so. One always felt better in his company. He gave me a hand-up, which lifted my spirits, and a job at Penney's.

I know his family will keep putting all the great things he passed on to them to the rest of us needing a bit of Pete Simmons' kindness with a...

I was extremely heart broken and sadden to hear about the loss of Pete. He and his wife Wanda were such wonderful neighbors to my parents, Bernie and Margaret Hoffman. When my father passed away they were there to comfort my mother and help her anyway they could. My family has several beautiful pictures of Pete and his lovely wife Wanda at various family functions. I would like to express my deepest sympathy to both Pete and Wanda's children and grandchildren.

The world has lost a great Man, Father, Brother and Friend, but heaven has gained an Angel. Pete was truly a gift to all who knew him. I had the privilege of working for Pete for many years; he was a true friend and a great mentor. I will cherish the many memories of laughter and the practical things I learned from working side by side with Pete and his friendship. Our condolences to Pete's family and friends.

I was very sad to hear of Pete's passing. I remember Pete when I was growing up as he was friends with my parents. He was always wearing tennis shorts and a polo shirt, tanned, happy and smiling. My warmest wishes and deepest condolences to his family in this time of sorrow. He will be missed by many but his memory will linger in our hearts forever.

I first met Pete when I was working for the bank in Casa Grande. We became fast friends and played golf, tennis and had a few mrtini's and manhattens together. Pete helped me twice to go to work for Penneys and I spent 22 years with Penneys and with Pete. I can't tell you how many good times we spent together and how many times he helped me through tough times. We will all miss Pete, but the memories will stay with us forever.

I am so sorry to hear about Pete's passing. He was a great man and a good friend for years. I believe we were all privileged to know him. My condolences to the family.

Pete and I worked together in the
early 50's at the Boys' Club of San
Diego. He was a great and nice
guy with a unique sense of humor.
I am sure he was a great father and
pal to all who knew him. Pete will
now have his just reward in heaven.
