Not sure what to say?

Dear Stathis Family -- Though I was able to attend the service for Pete I just wanted to again express my sympathies to you. I am especially glad I came to know Beth Stathis in the past few years (we were neighbors for 4 years) and was always passing along "Hellos" from Beth to Pete. As a current Holyoke City Councilor I will do my best to live up to Pete's example. The City Council will have a moment of silence for Pete at our only summertime meeting scheduled for August 7 at 7 PM.

Just returned from Ireland to receive the bad news about Pete. He was the starting center on the Westfield State Teachers basketball team in the 1950-1951 season. I was a freshman on that same team. I always admired and respected Pete. I am saddened by his loss. He was a very good example for me.

Very sorry to hear about your father's passing. I will miss the walks we took at Alvord Place. We shared many stories of Holyoke and it brought back so many memories. Rest in peace, dear friend.

Our deepest sympathies are extended to the Stathis Family. Pete was a terrific guy! Always very pleasant. We have fond memories of him over the years.

Sincerely,

Dear Stathis Family, Pete and Mary were wonderful neighbors and we will miss them both. Our sincere condolences to all of you during this sad time.
Sincerely,
Richard and Linda Lewis

Dear Stathis Family:

I was saddened to read of Peter's passing. I had served with Peter for several years on the Holyoke Board of Aldermen. He was a truly wonderful guy and an outstanding public servant who very much cared about Holyoke and its future.

Please accept my deepest sympathy.

Sincerely yours,

Dear Karen:
You may remember that we spoke last October during the Haloween snow storm. I had been speaking with your father that day. He and I had a great talk that day and I could tell what a proud father he was.

Karen and Scott,
My deepest sympathies on the passing of your dad and mom.

Sincerely, Maggie

Dear Karen and Stathis family,

I am so sorry to hear of your Dad's passing and also of your Mom's.
My thoughts and prayers are with you.
May happy memories of your Dad and Mom bring you Peace.
