Only receiving this news today, but remembering Peter is to remember an iconic character of Mendocino County always flavored with his New York and Massachusetts background and attachment to the woods and to nature in general. I had the pleasure of knowing Pete and his wife Robbie for many years. I remember the small tennis shop at the end of town where Pete would always take the time to just talk- current events to sports. Pete opened Sunhouse Tennis Club where I enjoyed many a time just hitting with him. I will always remember his warm smile , his laugh and his warm nature. "to know him was to love him" - so true. I am so glad I had the chance to know him.
