Not sure what to say?

Pete,
Still think of you fondly, remembering your gifts of corn and flowers, your big smile and half jog through the halls at The Hartford. Knowing you are without pain and walking up there with Wolfie makes me smile. Miss you even after all these years.

CT Vet Cmetery Stone

In September of 2014, At Peter's request, his remaining ashes have now been interred at the Connecticut Veteran's Cemetery in Middletown, CT.

I met Pete when I was working at the Hartford. He was someone you looked forward to seeing every day because of his positive caring attitude. He was a friend to me, when I needed one most. He seemed to know that. He would stop by my desk to talk, often. One of my fondest memories of him is how I would always see him driving around Simsbury in the truck with the dogs. Windows open and music on. I also used to see him when I went by the farm for corn. We were friends. I have since moved...

Howard and family: With my most sincere condolence for the loss of Peter. Although you are experiencing deep sadness, may the memories of his presence help you during this difficult period and continue through the passage of time.

Sincerely,
Ann Jameson

My deepest sympathies go out to Peter's family during this time. I had the pleasure of working with Peter at The Hartford. He was a hardworker both in the office and on the farm. Pete would stop by my desk almost everyday to tell a story, bring a gift from the farm (pictured), or just say a quick hello. He would always put the biggest smile on my face. I considered him a good friend and he will be sincerely missed.

I had the pleasure of meeting Pete while working at The Hartford, 10 years ago at the Simsbury location. Any help I ever needed he was right there. He was the nicest person, never a bad word about anyone or anything. The world needs more Pete Stewarts. He will be missed.

Rest in peace dear one.
Love,Patty

Dear family, I have known Peter most of his life and I am so sorry of his passing. I know how much he loved his roots and the land he grew up in. He will always be remembered to me as that outdoorsy, dog loving neighbor, sister of my best friend and a quiet soul who protected what was right. Peter may you be happy united with your mother and other family members in eternal peace~
