Peter was a spiritual influence on me because of the depth of his character. He had many friends here in Ann Arbor, MI who valued him, as I did. He was funny, irreverent, great company, knowledgeable about sports without being heavy-handed. And always up for trying new things -- like ice skating in downtown Detroit in the Winter when he'd spent scant few hours ever with skates on his feet.
