Not sure what to say?

Mr. Straub, I will miss you. You were a wonderful Scoutmaster for Troop 129. You made a postive impact in my life as a role model.

Memories from Pete's Bike Virginia friends:
• One of the best. We had some good times and it was a pleasure to know him. He will be missed.
• Pete was a great guy.
• He will indeed be missed. He was a loyal supporter through thick and thin. He and Leon made a pair with their Cadillacs as support vehicles and Pete with his W&L license plate.
• I remember Pete; his exuberance & friendliness were always a welcome sight. Wonderful memories!
• We remember Pete's FUN bike clothing...

Pete has finally found that perfect bike ride in the sky, where all the roads are downhills and the wind is always at your back, and the sun is always shining. We rode a lot of miles together. I will miss you, Pete, and will think of you every time I ride the W&OD trail (Pete was a trail monitor).

I will miss you Pete. Thanks for all of your help over the years.

Good guy with great sense of humor even when going through some tough stuff. Will miss you at the next W&L reunion. I'd like to give something to charity it Peter's name. Is there a charity he would be most interested in ? My sincere condolences. Tom Budd

Friend, classmate and brother Sigma Nu. I will always remember your grand sense of humor. You will be missed. My condolences to your family.

We knew Pete best through our many years bicycling and volunteering on the Annual 5 day Bike Virginia ride. He made many friends from around the state with his outgoing, positive attitude, and alway being around to help. We also knew Pete and his family through various Alexandria activities. Linda played tennis with his wife, our kids went to the same schools. Pete gave a lot of his time to civic activities, including Boy Scouts, Republican party activities, and board member for the Friends...

My condolences to Pete's family. We were friends and classmates many years ago in high school in Webster. We saw each other occasionally in later years at reunions and the like. Pete was a good guy - bright, funny, involved in life. I know you will miss him.

We will miss you, Peter.
