In the 3 years we worked together in the Renaissance Festival industry, we got very close...like brothers...always with differences of oppinion... and Peter never had a problem speaking his mind. Peter Tambone was a man with a big heart. I met him a year after his wife passed away...I felt he never really recovered from that. The good news is that he is now back together with the love of his life and looking down on us all and smiling.

From the first time I met Peter at a Board meeting for Hospice Volunteers of Kennebec Valley, to my last visit with him in his hospital room last week, he remained consistent in his thoughts and actions. Consistent in his belief that right is right and wrong is wrong, consistent in speaking what was on his mind without hesitation, and consistent with his support of Hospice Volunteers. I served with Peter on the Board of Directors of Hospice Volunteers of Kennebec Valley. I had met him previously when he visited and toured our funeral home (Plummer's) with a group from Hospice Volunteers.
I felt that he and the executive director were the driving force in that organization.
