Not sure what to say?

Peter was so kind and friendly all the years we did carriage rides through the orchard. We appreciated his allowing us the pleasure of the fall scenery while giving rides with our team of horses. He always took the time to have a conversation.

From all of us at NYCAMH, I'd like to share our sincere sympathies and regrets in hearing of Pete's passing. As with his many commitments and community endeavors, he was dedicated and supportive and added great insight and humor to our Board discussions. He was such a great addition to the board that we kept him on for decades :). At our board meetings, I always looked forward to interesting discussions about NY history if I was lucky enough to sit next to Pete during the lunch break. I know...

I am sad to hear of the passing of Peter. When I arrived in New York in 2022, I had the pleasure of meeting with Peter who offered me advice, joyful conversation, and a great welcome to the apple industry in New York. I hope the friends and family of Peter are surrounded by love and light at this time.

I am so sorry to learn of Pete's passing. We were friends at the Albany Academy and fraturnity brothers at Cornell. My best year at Cornell was my senior year when I was an off-campus roommate with Peter and other fraturnity brothers. Peter must have liked the songs of Johnny Cash as this was playing all the time. Peter was a great person with loads of stories who also had a keen sense of humor. Goodbye and may Peter rest in peace. Gerrit White

Laurie and family, I´m so sorry to hear of your dad´s passing. Pete was always so kind to Evan and me, regaling us with his fascinating experiences and willing to let us bend his ear with our stories. He lived an incredible life and leaves a lasting legacy. Love, Sheila

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Peter´s family. We appreciated and will miss all his wisdom and guidance he shared with the NYCAMH board for so many years. Bill and Terry Zittel

Our sincere condolences to Peter´s family during this difficult time. He was truly a wonderful man who touched many lives. May God Bless you all. Bob and Gail Dollar

My deepest sympathy to family, friends and work associates of Mr. Ten Eyck. I visited the farm store and the cafe many times when visiting family in the area, and I have fond memories of interesting conversations with him. Always a gentleman. It was one of my favorite places for food and conversation. Rest in peace, Sir. Cathy Hawley

Dear Lorie & John. We were at The Gade Farm today celebrating the family connection at the annual Clambake, when I learned of Peter´s passing. Many wonderful AA reunions plus Peters many many Stories. He´s gone but certainly not forgotten. Blessings.
