So terribly sad to read of Peter's passing in the California College of Arts alumni publication. Peter was a thoughtful and talented teacher, and made a real difference to his students.

My sincere sympathies. Peter was a year ahead of me in high school, and a friend, at a time when I had few of those. The space around him was always a positive one, brightening up the atmosphere of those around him.

I loved this kind, funny man with his self-effacing wit and expansive intelligence. You were my friend Peter, you always understood. I didn't have to explain anything to you.
