Not sure what to say?

My sympathies to Peter´s family. Peter and I worked side by side much of the time for more than two years as assistant city editor to his City Editor chair. This meant an hysterical four hours or so in the morning trying to shoehorn stories as they developed into our home edition which generally had an 1145 or so ultimate deadline. He was calm most times, which helped me. A good mate to have.

We so loved the time we spent with Peter. We send our condolences to his family and our special love to Suzie.

We think of you and will send a gift to Hopewell House, to which you have been so generous, in Peter´s memory. When Peter, as an adult, took classes from Tom at PSU, Tom always felt it a pleasure. A long good life.

Dear Suzie, we send you our sincère condoléances. Peter was a really interesting and warm man even though we knew him only briefly. Our thoughts are with you. Maarja and Jean Claude

If the Hillsdale book sale ever happens again Peter's contribution will be remembered. Bon Voyage my friend

Sometimes his son Bill was hanging around his dad's office. The paper was printed using the hot print method. Copy was typed on Mergenthaler hot lead machines when it went downstairs from the newsroom. Set in a chase which was...

One of my best bosses ever, and a fiercely competitive handball player.
