Not sure what to say?

Spending the summer of 1965 with the Thornburgh family in Pittsburgh, as a student helper from England, I got to know Peter very well. Taking care of him during that busy summer, was a wonderful experience. I treasure the memories of the whole Thornburgh family and I sincerely send my good wishes to John and David.

Just learned of Peter´s passing, very fond memories of working with Peter as his speech therapist at PPS. My heart felt condolences to Ginny and Peter´s family.

In 1966 I spent the summer with your family in Pittsburgh. Peter's dad was running for Congress and he and Ginny were very busy. I spent a lot of time with Peter, taking care of him as he had to wear his special helmet all day. I am so happy that he grew into a fine young man. I think of him often, as well as the time spent with John and David. (Ginny was expecting Bill that summer, but I got to know him too after I emigrated from England to teach.) I know his family miss him greatly.

I am so sorry to learn of Peters' passing. It is comforting to know that he led a very full and purposeful life. I have such pleasant memories of him when I spent the summer of 1966 watching him, John and David. They are memories I will treasure. I hope that John and David remember me,

Dear Ginny, David, John, and Bill, I'm so deeply sorry to learn of Peter's passing. I only knew him as a child and I remember him being so very sweet then. I will never forget the time I spent with you, Ginny, as you helped him swim at the Children's Institute as I awaited my own lifesaving class with Jack Morris, and how bright and cheerful he was. I'm only fairly recently learning about the work you have done in disability advocacy, and am personally grateful to you as I cope with...

My deepest condolences to Ginny and family. I have many fond memories in working with Peter when he was in the Harrisburg area. God Bless

So sad to learn of Peter passing but know he´s in good hands. Had the pleasure of working with Peter for 10 years in the Harrisburg community. He was an inspiration by things he´d say and do. I remember once after his work day at the food bank He had a big smile on his face. I said " You must have had a good day" . He replied " I saw you´re car was here" . I will never forget how moved and inspired I was by that comment. A full caring circle. Watch for me and hopefully my car shows up

Ginny, I'm saddened to learn of Peter's passing. Peter's life and your commitment to support him made for a fantastic team and an inspiration to all. I remember, back in those days that you helped launch the AHEDD organization with me, how your face would light up when you shared his latest accomplishment. What a wonderful man Peter grew to be and what I wonderful mom you have always been. My thoughts and prayers to the entire Thornburgh family.

So sad to hear of Peters passing. My deepest condolences to his family and achieva family! Prayers for healing.! RIP Peter. God received a great angel
