I have had the high privilege of working alongside Pete in the welding field for about 25 years. Engineering-smarts and people-smarts were core strengths with Pete. He was a great communicator and could present and summarize complex issues very well. It was a joy to work directly for him for the past 4 years or so; perhaps my happiest in 38 years at GM. And as fellow Greeks we shared more than a little in common, especially in the food area.
