Not sure what to say?

Peter it was a pleasure working with you many years ago. I will always think of you whenever I travel on the escalator as you truly terrified me as to how you would go down so easily in your wheelchair.

Sincerest condolences to your family.

Rest in Peace

We've lost a pioneer and legend in the sport of wheelchair racing. I had the honor of working with Peter at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Event. He was a student of his sport and a tremendous help to his fellow competitors.

Peter Trotter was a wonderful ambassador for his country and created a tradition that is carried on today by Kurt Fearnley, and coaches Louise Sauvage and Andrew Dawes.

God speed Peter.

A great friend and a supporter for the junior section of NSW Wheelchair sport. Thank you.

Peter became friends with Bev and I before we actually met. A guy impossible not to like.

We were simpatico and enjoyed each other's company whenever we met.

From his chair, he stood taller than many I have known.

I will miss him immensely
But never forget him.

Thanks Pete, for sharing some of your life with us.

A sad loss for so many. A life cut short with no doubt so much more to offer. Sincere condolences to your family. They have so much to miss. Your work colleagues too will find it difficult to fill the special place you held with everyone. May you now be at rest.

The thoughts of the Australian Paralympic Committee Board, staff and our athletes and Team staff are with Peter's family. Peter was a great Australian Paralympian, who blazed a trail that could be followed by athletes such as Louise Sauvage and Kurt Fearnley and helped to set new standards that transformed wheelchair racing.

I remember when Peter first burst onto the world wheelchair sport scene. He was a inspirational athlete, a mentor to many and a friend along the way.
He had an infectious personality that will be missed.
I was truly saddened at hearing about his passing and it immediately brought back memories of the many sporting trips, functions and general get togethers we all shared.
You have left a lasting legacy that you and your family can be truly proud of.

Peter gave me the unique privilege of going to the Los Angeles Olympics in 1984 when he represented Australia in the first ever 1500m wheelchair exhibition event. A great athlete who led the way for so many others I feel so honoured to have known you. Fond memories. My sincere thoughts are with your loved ones. Rest in peace my friend.

My deepest sympathies to your family.

Thank you Peter for inspiring me with your strength and humility... and your ever ready smile!

Rest in Peace.
