Not sure what to say?

I miss Fr Weiss´ annual Christmas letter, sharing how he and his cat were doing; explaining each event and his continuing love for the Community and James Patterson´s. As a Pastor at St Joan of Arc Church in the 1980´s his assignment for the Parish & school was a focal positive turning point for all who came in contact with him. Although his tour with us was not to last forever, find memories of him will last a lifetime for most of us

I just learned of the passing of Father Peter Weiss. He and I both attended Our Lady of Hope Junior College in the Town of Newburgh Hamlet of Balmville. Where we went to Junior College there were four groups: The Oblates of Mary Immaculate, The Cappuchins, the Josephites, and the lay students; I was one of the lay students but I was very happy to have Peter as a friend at Our Lady of Hope. He was one year older than I was. I feel saddened by Peter's passing but I am convinced he is...

1984 Father Weiss came to Crowley, Louisiana. Prior to my graduation from high school Father Weiss drove me to Xavier University and we sat in Dr Norman C Francis office and that is how I got into Xavier Univ. I am thankful for Father Weiss. My life would not be where it is for his prayers and assistance in ensuring I´d be a Xavier graduate. I pray God opens the door for his soul. Till we meet again.

I was honered to have him as my pastor at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Houston, Texas. He was energetic, knowledgeable and compassionate. During the past few years while visiting New Orleans, I had the opportunity to hang out with him. He was a joy to be around. He was never at a loss for words, but I am now. You will be missed by so many and forever loved Father Weiss.

In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always.

My prayers go out to the Weiss family, the Josephites, All Saints Catholic Church, and the St. Augustine High School Community.

I was saddened to learn of your passing; Thanks for officiating the Mass celebration of my 25th wedding anniversary. You shared the Word of God so profoundly in your homilies like no other and it was so appreciated. Enjoy the presence of our Father.

remembering Father Weiss in my prayers and at the altar. I trust he's found rest 'where the light of God's face shines'. His Josephite brothers and loved ones are especially in my prayers these days
