Not sure what to say?

It has been so hard for me to find the right words to express how sorry I am for the loss of Mr. White, but I will give it a shot here.
Mr. White was so much more to me than my best friend's dad. Out of the 2 step-fathers and one real father I've had in my life, he was the only person I'd ever called "dad". He was always there to greet me with a hug whenever I came over, and always wanted to know what was going on in my life. Sometimes, Sarah would play the piano and he and I would...

Sarah, I am so sorry for your loss. I just want you to know that you are in my thoughts and prayers and if you need anything or just want to talk, I am here for you.

Love,

Leann

In addition to his exemplary service to the schools of Bay City, Peter White was always actively engaged in the betterment of the wider community where he lived and worked. Peter's dedication to this was well represented by his involvement with the Saginaw Basin Land Conservancy. Peter was a founding director of the Conservancy and served for many years as its treasurer. Peter will be deeply missed by the directors and staff of SBLC and our heartfelt sympathy goes out to his family.

My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I went to high school with Peter, I knew his dad he was one of my teachers. I am very sorry for youre lose. I just wanted to say to the family he was a very nice man an well liked. At least you know hes taken care of he is home now. God bless the family. My thoughts are with you all.

I was very saddened to hear of Peter's death. I remember him when he lived on McKinley and Sherman, and I would go down and visit David while at my Grandparents. His Dad would let me wind the beautiful grandfathers clock. I was fortunate enough to have his Dad as a teacher, and Peter as well. Well respected men, great teachers, real pillars in the education field. So sorry for your loss.

Mr. White was more than a teacher to my daughter..he was her friend. He was there for her when she was at her lowest and he never judged..he listened and he offered advice. He was there for her when her "friends" were not. I will be forever grateful that he was a part of her life. I thank his family for "sharing" him with so many people..young and old alike. You are in my thought and prayers.

I did not get a chance to meet Mr. White, but I knew his daughter Sarah. We belong to a group called Alpha Phi Omega, a service fraternity from Central Michigan University. From what I read about him, he sounded like a well accomplished man. I am truly sorry about the family's loss and will certainly keep Sarah and her family in my prayers.

Mr. White was my teacher for several classes while I was a student at Handy ('84 grad). He was one of my favorites, always a nice word to say, and tried to make Economics interesting. My sympathy to his family.
