Not sure what to say?

Jan and I were so shocked and saddened by the news of Pete's passing into the Lord's presence. We are certainly praying for your family, and Jan especially has such fond memories of Pete from Wheaton Free Church days and the youth group there. May God bless you during your time of heartache and loss.

Nicole and I want to offer our deepest condolences to the Winchell family. We are praying for you!
May the Lord comfort you!

While not knowing Peter personally, we do know that he was a personal friend of my brother Don Mortenson, and we do know his mother Marjorie and knew his father, Richard. We certainly offer our sympathy to Peter's wife and family and to Marjorie, and to his sister and brothers on this untimely loss. While we join in your sorrow, we rejoice with you that Peter is with the Lord and has rejoined his beloved father Richard in heaven. We are certainly thankful for the great role the extended...

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Peter's sudden passing. He was a good friend to me during my time at Interlake. I remember our joy at finding a kindred spirit when we discovered we shared our "Aunt Nina and Uncle Len" and a love for the music of the Eagles. Peter and I worked closely on many projects, and no matter how rushed or pressured we were, we always found time to laugh. I will always remember fondly Peter's ready laugh, rock-solid faith, and thoughtful ways.

Sue and I want to express our deepest sympathy to the Winchell family. With the sorrow comes the comfort of Scripture: "To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord."

We want to express our deepest sympathy to you, Joan, Nathan and Sharon and the rest of your families. Our prayers and love will be with you. God bless you all.

Though we have not had contact in the years since we attended the Wheaton Evangelical Free Church High Club Youth Group together, I have fond memories of Pete. He was a young man of great physical stature, which was only surpassed by his inner strength winsome personality, contageous spirit and strong leadership ability. Being three years older than me, I looked up to him in more ways than one. In college I grew taller, but he has always been a model for me of character, conviction and...

It is with sadness that I write these words for dear Peter. I knew Peter as a friend & co-worker at Interlake. He was a man of strong faith who was devoted to his family and his church. Peter always spoke lovingly of his wife Joanie and was very proud of his son and daughter. I will always remember the trip to the cottage in Mass.and meeting his family for the first time. Peter will be in my prayers with the consolation that he lived his life in service to Our Lord Jesus Christ.

I never had so much fun on stage, maybe too much fun, at times. I will miss my fellow actor, believer and friend. It was a gift to have served, ministered, prayed, laughed and cried along side Peter. He encouraged me and made me laugh. Thank you for the gift of him to all of us. We will miss him.
