Our happiest times were in 1947 and 1948 during the summer at Fire Island, New York. Peter and I rode down hills from the beach to the bay in a homemade wagon our father built. We dug for clams in the bay, hauled crabs up with nets, took swim lessons, and enjoyed carefree months. His grand niece, Cecelia Stewart just graduated from Brown University. My daughter and grandchildren purchased two bricks at a special memorial walk at Brown for my birthday . The bricks lay side by side: 1959,...
