Read MoreThroughout Pete's health problems, I never saw him without his same positive, brave outlook. I know he didn't always feel that way, but he didn't want to burden anyone with his problems. I think that showed his love of his friends, and I'm glad to be counted as one of them.

Pete was the best brother-in-law a girl could ever have. He was a friend and I'll never forget the things he taught me. He will always have a place in my heart and I will surely miss him. He's no longer in pain and for that we can be thankful. We know that we'll see him again.
