Richmond, Virginia
POLLARD, Peyton Mason. Born October 9, 1929 in Petersburg, Va. Died February 20, 2011. Stops along the way include: Petersburg High School, Virginia Episcopal School, University of Richmond, U.S. Air Force, UVA, IBM, J.E.C. Coca Cola Bottling Group and ISI inc. Predeceased by my parents, Oliver Pollard and Frances Mason Pollard some years ago. Survived by Nancy, my better than I deserved wife who made homes for us in D.C., Short Hills, Bethlehem, Norfolk and Richmond. Also survived by two fine children, Mason and Melinda; a unique brother, Oliver Pollard Jr.; three grandsons who show a lot of promise, and three nephews and a niece who are well on their way to worthwhile lives. A fun trip, some good friends, a few regrets and an improved golf game. What else is there in this world? And now it's off to the next with high hopes of catching up with those who've gone before. Goodbye, all. Interment was private.

Hold on, Peyt - we're not done with you yet. There are a few stories to tell, an observation or two about GCR (for one) and too much time since the last time we hoisted one together. Sounds like you did leave a fine family, however, and considering that I guess --- OK, go on and do what you have to do --see 'ya later. Ray R.
