Rev. Pharis D. Evans

Although I did not know Rev. Pharis personally, I was blessed to get to know his sister, the late Dr. Lou Della Evans Reid, personally. She often spoke about her brother. I am still experiencing the recent loss of his sister, Mama Lou, as she was known. My sincere thoughts and prayers are with his sister, Ms. Minnie Joe Evans, Rev. Tonia Johnson, and the entire Evans family during this time of remembrance and reflections. Many thanks to all of them for the many contributions their family...

It's hard to believe that Rev. Pharis has been gone this long, but his memory lives on. I still enjoy watching the youtube video of his teaching a Sunday School lesson with his brothers. It's hard to believe that it has been about a year since this dear servant of the Most High God left us. Although I never met Rev. Pharis, his dear sister, Dr. Lou Della Evans Reid, is my friend, and I know just how much this man is loved. I offer my sincere prayers to his family as they reminisce. Sandra C. My heart is filled with great sadness in the loss of such a magnificent man of God. When I resided in Memphis, TN one of my greatest highlights was the knowledge of knowing Dr. Pharis Evans was coming to New Mt. Zion to feed our spirits with an anointed word from God.
