Not sure what to say?

Uncle Phil is the kind of person we all strive to become. He has always served others no matter what hat he wore. We will miss Uncle Phil, but the legacy he has left will be unmatched and the memories we have will always encourage us to strive each day to be just a little bit better as we try to make him proud. Many people strive for a lifetime to attain the level of integrity he showed daily. We love you Uncle Phil.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome...

We were so saddened to hear of Phil's passing. We knew him years ago when he was a UHP in Grand County. What a role model he was, and we so enjoyed knowing him! Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time. Thanks Phil for all you did for all of us!

Sylvia, my condolences for the death of your husband. May you find strength in your faith and the love of family and friends.

Phil was a good friend from my youth and he continued to watch over and care for my parents after I had moved from the area. He has always been fondly remembered by me and my brother. He lived a good life and cared about people. It is with sorrow that we heared of his passing. We express our sincere simpathy to his family. Venna (Curtis) Severance and Craig Curtis

We would like to express our love and sympathy at this time of great loss. President Barney will be forever remembered in our family. He is a great man.

We were so sorry to read of the passing of your husband and father. We met him when he was in the Rehab unit at Utah Valley Hospital with my husband in 2007. My husband has never forgotten that when Phil was getting ready to be released he said, "I'm more excited to be going home than I ever was for Christmas." That speaks volumes for the happy home you all must have shared. He was a good man.

Our sincere condolences to the family of Sheriff Phil Barney, May he enjoy the peace officers heaven, We who had meet him thru the years will remember him.
Our wishes from the Fellow Officers in Ca.

My heart was saddened to hear of the passing of such a great friend and colleague. I am very proud to have been influenced by him and his example.
