Mr. Phil D. McCuiston, age 59, of Murray, Kentucky died on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at the Murray Calloway County Hospital. He was employed by Saputo where he had worked for over 39 years; He was a member of the Grace Baptist Church where he served as an usher, trustee and on several committees. Mr. McCuiston was born in Murray, Kentucky on December 19, 1956 to the late Joe Parker and Desiree McNutt McCuiston. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by one brother in law, Ben Blakely. He is survived by his wife, Rita Crittendon McCuiston of Murray, Kentucky; they were married August 6, 1977 in Bell City, Kentucky. Also survived by three sons, Jason McCuiston and wife Rachel, Brian McCuiston and wife Katie and Danny McCuiston and wife Shara all of Murray, Kentucky; two sisters, Karen "Jody" Carpenter and husband Jon and Diane Blakely both of Murray, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Parker McCuiston and Emery McCuiston. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 24, 2016 in the chapel of the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Rev. David Allbritten, Rev. Tim Palmer and Bro Brett Miles will officiate with burial to follow in the Elm Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 pm Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Grace Baptist Church, Building Fund, 619 South 9th Street, Murray, Kentucky 42071 or the Elm Grove Cemetery Fund, 6483 State Route 94 East, Murray, Kentucky 42071. Phil was one of my best friends at Calloway. He had a w a y of encouraging people to move forward. Every few weeks when I went down to my farm I would look up there at his house and. Remember Phil`s kindness and hard work. May God continue to bless Rita and the family

Dear family, I was so saddened to hear of the passing of Phil. He was always a cheerful person and he also was a faithful member of the Elm Grove Baptist Church. It was my pleasure to be his pastor. Norma and I join all of his many friend to pray for each family member.

I was so very sorry to hear of Phil's passing. His smile and hard work as a loving band parent immediately came to mind when I heard. What a loving role model he was. Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers.
