Just heard the sad news of our childhood hero, & good adult family soul. Sorry I didn't get a chance to get a farewell in person to cuz & how well, like many others thought of Big Phil. God bless him & may he rejoin Big bro. Tommy in the BEAR HUG like no other.

Phil was my Hero. I looked up to him and Arlo. Phil was a quiet and intelligent man who at times ripped the shades off the windows pontificating on Philosophy, it´s no wonder that all those kids adore him. He was a modest and humble man, who enlightened me a thousand times with his subtle wit. The man could play any Sport with anyone. Life makes Heroes out of humanity and Phil was stellar as they come, my dearest brother save me a seat. - Tim Hardesty
