Obituary
Two people have died in an Amtrak train crash near Philadelphia, according to CNN and Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency spokeswoman Ruth Miller.
Amtrak said that 31 other people are being treated at area hospitals for minor injuries.
The train was en route from New York City to Savannah, Georgia. The train ran into a backhoe that was stuck on the track.
Investigators from the Federal Railroad Administration were on the scene. Amtrak announced that service between New York and Philadelphia was suspended.
