Elinor E. Starr

I have very fond memories of working with Elinor during my time as a financial aid officer in Kentucky. She was a very special person.

I worked as a student assistant for Elinor when I was a Spalding in the late 60's. She was the director of public relations at the time. She was lovely to work for, dedicated to the institution and the students, willing to do anything to help us. She was a thorough professional. I know she is remembered fondly by so many of us.

Elinor was a good friend and she will be missed,

Elinor was among the very best financial aid administrators in the southern region. She was insightful, thoughtful, kind and generous. The World is a little bit less with her passing.

I never had the pleasure of working with Elinor but he name lives on here at Spalding!

Ms. Starr was a true blessing to Spalding University. I worked with her for 12 years, until she retired. She was always so nice to everyone. Her knowledge of all aspects of financial aid led the way for Spalding to be where it is today. A truly inspiring person who has touched many lives and will be missed greatly. May you rest in peace...

Compassionate, thoughtful, and had wonderful insight into the needs of the students.

Smart,serious,practical,helpful and funny! For me, she was the face of Spalding - the very first staff person I met. I couldn't have made it through without her.

Elinor was always such a friendly and caring person. She will be missed.
