Philip D. Arbogast

I was a very close friend with Phil for over 30 years. I remember the saturday nights that our group of our friends and wives would play cards on Saturday nights and the Sundays our group of guys attended Sunday breakfast together. We talked about the world problems, our families and discussed some things only between us. Phil was a mans man and a great friend. I deeply miss him.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Arbogast family. I worked around the Chief, at the 323rd Supply Sq . He was truly a kind man who was dedicated to his family and the Air Force. The world was better for his being a part of it. It has lost a good man. I know he fought a brave battle against his cancer and can be admired for that too.

To My Uncle Phil,
Even though the family was not close at times, I wanted you proud of me. I feel you were proud when I did my service time in the NAVY and also when I married Jessie my wonderful wife. I loved talking with you Veterans DAY and Memorial Day. I wish we would have shared more stories. I am proud to be your nephew and love you very much, you will be missed.

I can't say I spent a whole lot of time with Uncle Phil, but I can say the time I spent with him is very precious to me. He was such a kind man with a knack for making me feel so welcome when I first met the Arborgast family. (I married his nephew Donald) For me, he will also be remembered for his strength and courage in his battle againt cancer. Most of all, he touched our hearts and was a wonderful role model for my husband Don. He will be missed and my heart goes out to all of those who...

Chief Arbogast was a real Chief and a good friend. He attended all our Retiree Meetings that we held in the McClellan Chapel and he always donated a gold Dollar coin to the coffee fund. He also looked forward to the Gathering of the Chiefs that we held annually and he always was in attendance. We will miss his smiling face and his sincere concern for people. Rest in peace my friend.

Chief was always an example, a mentor, a leader, and a friend. I still strive to live my life today by some of the personal and professional standards taught to me by Chief Arbogast. The world has lost a true gentleman and one of the finest Airman that ever lived.

To my dear brother. You were always such a mentor to me. I will miss you greatly. With love and fond memories.
