Not sure what to say?

I can't believe how often something happens to make me remember a specific moment that I shared with Philip. It is almost always accompanied with a smile as we shared so many fun moments together, many of which were wrapped in humor.

Phyllis, Andrew
So sorry to hear about Philip. My prayers go out to you and your family.

Phyllis and Andrew,
I'm so sorry to hear of Phillip's passing. My prayers are with you and your families. Such good memories of talking into the night at publishers meetings about newspapers, and the wonderful stories of our newspaper histories. Take care, Sandy Hurley

Hello Andrew: I am a "blast from the past." I stumbled upon your brother's obituary while doing some newspaper research and wanted to take a moment to let you know I'm sorry for your loss. I still have some great memories of good times at North Carolina Press Association conferences. I hope you are doin well. My thoughts are with you and your family.

Laurie and Andrew,

I was friends with your brother at Carolina and the years following. Because of Philip's deep and
profound voice, we called him 'God'.

It was at your mother's home in Greenville, Philip and I took a sketch pad and created the Lil Bird logo. The Lil Bird was a lampoon style campus newspaper, one of the many fun dreams Philip brought to life.

Phyllis - Ann and I wish to express our sympathy to you and Andrew and family

My condolences to the family in the loss of your love one.

So sorry to hear such sad news. I met Philip way back in 1978 while home from the College of Charleston over Christmas break. Tall, dark & handsome with the best moves on the dance floor at Brandy's - he was hard to miss. Even at such a young age, he was the ultimate host... with a boundless generosity of spirit and considerable charm. His contagious joy and quick smile spread to those all around him.

We never lived in the same town, but shared many great visits and adventures...

Andrew,
I am so sorry to hear about your brother's passing. I didn't know him but you and I went to high school together. I loss my sister in '91 so I understand how you feel. May God provide you with comfort and peace during this time of sorrow!
