Not sure what to say?

Love you, Didi!!! Remembering the time we spent at Northeastern when we were in our early teens with your dad. We went to work with him and had free run of whatever area of the school we were in, and I remember feeling so free and grown up on the college campus! It was good to see him at BWH with you, Sam, and Sandy recently before he passed. He seemed at peace and at ease. Take care. Gina and Shawn Pepin

Diana, although I am sorry for your family's loss of your dad, what a blessing to have had long life! I regret not being able to make it to the service but please know I am praying for you as you go through this difficult time. Be blessed Diana.

I want to extend my most sincere sympathy to all the family especially to his wife, Sandra, and his daughters, Kirsten, Jill and Diana and his stepdaughters, Tracie and Jen as well as the grandchildren.

I knew Phil many years ago and I had not seen him in many years but I remember his smile and his way and I am so sorry that he is no longer with us.

Phil was brave and brilliant;
kind and loving;
passionate and persevering;
deep in thought and deed;

Phil's love...

Professor Backstrom was one of the best teachers that I remember from all my school years. Was at NU in late 1960s.

A great educator. Thoughts and prayers are with you.

So sorry for your loss. An increadible man who taught me so much and truly always cared about passing on his knowledge.

A n outstanding teacher who made the past come alive. He was always available to his students.
My sincere condolences
