Its been almost a year since we lost Phil. My brother, my Friend, my confidant. Not a day goes by that I don't reach for the phone to give him a call. He is making heaven a brighter place.

HE WAS MY FRIEND - FROM JUNIOR HIGH TO THE PHILLY FOLK FESTIVAL TO JUST HAVING COMPLETED A RESTORATION ON THE MARTIN GUITAR I BOUGHT AT MANDOLIN BROS ON A FADED DAY IN MY MEMORY WITH HIM. A PIECE OF ME IS GONE. HE WILL BE MISSED.

Phil was a good friend to our family for over 40 years and we will miss him. Phil became friends with my late husband Tim Murray when they were young teenage boys. He was the best man at our wedding in 1976 and was of great support to our family when Tim died in 2012. My daughters Megan and Laura thought of him as family. He will live on in our hearts.

I stood across from Phil for many years, on opposite sides of the baseball diamond. We had some interesting battles, some with tempers running high and some without. But Phil was always a gentleman, and our baseball battles never got in the way of our friendship and mutual love of music. The world will have less color without Phil. He will be greatly missed.
