Not sure what to say?

Dear Joan & Family,
We just learned about Philip's passing and are so sorry that we didn't learn about it until today. Our hearts are sad that we lost a very special friend.
We love you and will call very soon.

We were out of town last week and did not learn of your sorrowful loss until today when I was looking at last weeks obits. May God be with you and give you strength in this difficult time.

Lovingly,
Dottie Bates

I worked with Philip at BellSouth and remember him for his fine reputation and for his ability to work so well with others. My prayers are with his family at this difficult time.

I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of Philip. It's always hard to lose someone we love, and my thoughts are with you.

My (late) wife Ann Mitchell Rosser, worked at "Ma Bell" with Philip for many years. She always told me what a fine man he was. I know he will be missed.

Philip was one of the nicest, kindest and strongest people I have ever known. It was my priviledge to work with Philip at Parsons until his retirement last November. Our prayers are now for Joan and his lovely family. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Dear Bates Family,

I am very sorry for your loss. My parent's own Lyric Hot Dogs & Grill here in town and we were very close to Allen & Terra. Mr. Bates was a wonderful man and I know he will be dearly missed.

Love,

The Collins family
