Fr. Philip Blaine OFM Conv.

I always had great respect for Philip and knew him for a mere 63 years. When a sophomore at St. Francis, I was on his basketball team. He was the heart & soul of our team. Later in life I read his doctoral dissertation and admired him for his work on spirituality. I'm certain that the angels were involved in escorting Philip into the gates of Paradise! Father Blaine was a wonderful and humble man. I'll always remember his devotion and dedication to his faith and the Franciscan Friary on Todt Hill. I was fortunate to have him lead me and a group of 40 on a pilgrimage to Italy in 2000...an unforgettable and special time in my life because of his presence and spiritual guidance. May his soul rest in heavenly peace.
