If you gave your OK to a person or idea, it carried a large amount of weight (I still remember a few examples..) Uncle Phil! Thank you for having a the first house full of books I was ever exposed to. thank you for being intelligent and stubborn--it helped me to grow! Thank you for being the first person in our family to already *know* how awesome Oberlin was to get in to. But before that, thank you for showing me that it's ok if your grits have ants in them---and, of course, you and I were reigning 42 champions at the Thanksgiving playoffs in 1992. BIG HUG UNCLE PHIL
