My sincere condolences on your great loss. May you find peace and comfort during this sad time…Psalms 25:16,17

Wow. totally shocked. Phil was a few years older than I am, but I do remember him From Scouting in Massapequa, He was the first person I knew to get his Eagle scout award. R.I.P my old friend.

At the top of my staircase wall, in a singular place of honor, hangs a mounted USAFA cadet sword and scabbard resting on Air Force blue velvet. Below the scabbard there is a silver plaque with an etching of the USAFA 1982 Class Ring and these words: "Thanks for your love, support, and good times. John, Phil, and Tom". Even as I struggle to come to grips with the heartbreak of Phil's passing, I see him as the USAFA Cadet I knew so...

Phil and I taught conversational English to members of the Mongolian Expeditionary Task Force at Camp Eggers, Afghanistan until he was medevaced. We also attended Mass together. I was saddened to hear of his passing. The Bossert Family is in my prayers. I will have a Mass said in memory of Phil. A hero.

Anita, Andrew and Stephanie,

We are extremely sadden over loss of Phil. He was a very close friend, an outstanding human being and one of the finest Officers I ever had to privilege and honor to serve with. We will cherish the memories we had and always keep in our hearts and prayers. We want to express our most sincere sympathy and condolences to the family. May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. Phil was a very special friend and he will be dearly missed.

May God bless the Bossert family in this difficult time. I'm reminded every day of the incredible leadership lessons Col Bossert taught us and was truly blessed to have had the opportunity to be educated by him.

My dear brother Phil - you are gone but not forgotten. You lived each and every day fully and optimistically. I will carry you in my heart the rest of my days.
Much love from your sister Caroline

Anita, Andrew, and Stephanie,

Our hearts are broken, our spirits crushed with the loss of your husband and father. Phil was one of the greatest human beings I have ever had the honor of knowing and working with. During our time in Afghanistan, I called him the "World's Most Interesting Man," and he would just laugh and shrug it off, given his lifetime of over achievements. He was genuine, kind, smart as a whip, with a great sense of humor, and humble. He was proud beyond words of...
