I am so sorry to hear of this great loss...A great man....has left us....

Good Bless & God Speed to your next journey....

I am saddened by the loss of my friend Dr. C. He was my son's trumpet tutor for 6 years and a great mentor to Alex.
He was instrumental (no pun intended) in getting Alex accepted at the University of Portland.
He also gave him something that a parent seldom has the opportunity to give a child. That is direction and purpose. You see, Alex is a trumpet music education major at U of P. Without the guidance or direction of Dr. C, Alex may never have sought out this...

Our deepest sympathies to Phil's family and friends. He will be missed. He was a great trumpet player and nice man.

My deepest sympathies go to Philip's entire family; old and new members. He was a great inspiration to me, a 40 something new trumpet player.
I have many fond memories and hope Philip's energy and enthusiasm live on in his music students.

My deepest condolence to the Cansler family. I did not know Philip personally but I have known Joel for the past few years. Joel always spoke very highly of his brother and I could sense the love he had for him. Philip is in a place with no suffering and pain and his memories will live in the hearts of his loved ones forever. May God continue to bless the family.

Dr. Cansler was a great prefessor and a good man. He was my Fine Arts prof at U of Portland and I will remember him fondly. I pray for his family and friends that mourn his passing and thank him for inspiring me to always do better.

Sincerest condolences to Annette and the children, to Joel and Myra and their families, as well as to all those who knew and loved Philip. Sympathy comes to you also from all in the Schlesselman family, Dorothy Schlesselman and Mike Smith, Laurie & Dave Kinred and their family, Joy Schlesslman and Ken Burrus, Kent Schlesselman and his family, along with myself. I've spoken to each of my brothers and sisters since hearing the news; and they all share your grief and your celebration of Philip's...

I am very thankful to have been Phillip's cousin. Noone can take our great memories away! He was always caring, thoughtful and softspoken. My thoughts and prayers go to Joel and Myra...my what a year you have both had! Hugs and love, Rebecca
