Not sure what to say?

10 years.... still hard to believe. Phil you were a character, Tim and I talk about you now and again. You are NOT forgotten, you are missed. Cousins forever!

Abi, Beth and family
We were so sorry to hear of Phil's passing. Any time we saw him he always had a kind word and that infectious smile. May his Memory be Eternal+

I am absolutely crushed. I loved Pudgy, even if he was a White Sox fan. He made the best pizza I ever had. I had some great times there arguing with Pudgy about the Cubs vs the Sox. R.I.P. Pudgy. You'll be missed.

To my dear friend, Lu and the rest of the Cerra family:
I only just the pleasure of meeting Phil twice and he was a character to remember. May the joys of his stories, laugh, advice, and conversation help you through this difficult time,

I met Beth and Phil late late one night at a local casino. We struck up conversation about life's parallels and such for a few hours. When it was time for them to leave, Phil wanted to be assured that I could make it home to Lincoln. They offered a couch in their home and a business card with their phone numbers in case I became too tired to drive. What an unassuming thing to offer a complete stranger. I still have that card years later on the refrigerator door. It reminds me to be a better...

Amy and Family,
It was a privilege meeting Phil a few years back. If we could only all learn from Phil's example by following our dreams and living life to the fullest as he did. May his legacy live on and the memories of him grant you peace and solace.

Phil worked with me at Lacasa's way back in 76. We also had the same professor at UNO, and he was always borrowing my notes and then complain he couldn't read them(too small)! He was the best part of my shift, listening to him tell stories about Chicago. I always smiled on the days we had worked together. Phil also would recommend books to me, and it was because of him I began a love affair with Tolkien. I am saddened to hear of his passing, but I know that Heaven has now got the life of the...

Every time we went to Pudgy's for pizza we were greeted by Pudgy! He would always come over to our table and talk to us & our 2 young boys.He was so kind & friendly! Our family will miss him, though we will continue to eat at Pudgy's because we Love his pizza!!

Loved his pizza, but loved interacting with him even more. Always one to stop and talk and give the kids a quarter or two for the vending machines. Our young boys always ask to go to Pudgy's and for them it was more about Phil than the pizza. Hope Phil got the picture that our oldest recently left for him - - a possum eating Pudgy's pizza : )
