Philip E. Clover, Jr., 81
Philip E. Clover, Jr., 81, formerly of Punxsutawney, died Wednesday, November 21, 2018, at Loyalhanna Care Center, Latrobe.
He was born September 14, 1937, in Summerville, a son of the late Harriet (Brubaker) Clover McCoy and Philip E. Clover, Sr.
He was married to Betty N. (Tolson) Clover, who preceded him in death on August 13, 2017.
Philip served in the U.S. Navy from March of 1957 to March of 1969 during the Vietnam War.
He enjoyed hunting, baseball, the Steelers, John Wayne movies, and anything that made him laugh.
Philip was a man of faith and known for his patience and kindness.
He worked as a brakeman for the B & O Railroad.
He is survived by three daughters, Selina Smiley of Sierra Vista, AZ, Sabrina Opferman of Palm Coast, FL, and Sonia Miller and Husband Jeff of Latrobe, PA; six grandchildren, Kristy (Marshall) Weaver, Clara Lou Burkett, Zach Burkett, James Opferman, Timothy Spencer, and Victoria Rose Miller; four great grandchildren; a sister Donna Colhocker of DuBois; two nephews, David Colhocker and Philip E. Clover; and a niece Karen Clover
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Ronald Clover.
Friends will be received from 1 to 4 p.m., Sunday, November 25, 2018, at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.
A funeral service will be held at 4 p.m., Sunday, November 25, 2018, officiated by Pastor David Brady.
Interment will be in Circle Hill Cemetery, Punxsutawney.
Memorial contributions may be made, in memory of Mr. Clover, to the Jefferson County Veterans Honor Guard, 211 Frampton Drive, Reynoldsville, PA 15851.
