Not sure what to say?

So sad to hear of Dr. Cochran's passing. He was a wonderful and caring professor whom I had the pleasure of taking two classes with during my time at ACC. I will remember his passion for history (and analyzing the current history we are living through,) his dedication to his students, and his warmth and good nature. Rest in Peace sir.

I was fortunate to be 1 of the students@ACC to take the last summer semester class this yr. I knew something was wrong while during 1 of his lectures he was coughing real bad&had to abruptly end the lecture early. I had hoped it was nothing major, but because of how bad the cough sounded&the virus floating around knew it was. He bounced back though&was there to teach the next online class. I learned so much from him&tried to take him again this Fall semester, but he hadn't gained enough...

Phil and I met at East Texas State University about 1967. We quickly became best of friends and roommates. We also pledged Alpha Phi Omega together. He was a groomsman in my wedding in 1970. Sadly, we lost touch over the years and this was quite a shock to read it in the Dallas Morning News. Phil was a fantastic person and friend and this world has lost a kind soul. Requiescat in pace, my old friend. May light perpetual shine upon you.

One of my best memories and there r many is of us riding motorcycles with really no place to go. Miss you.

Phil was a kind and gentle human being. Will miss our discussions on points of history. He will b sorely missed.

Went to high school and church with Philip and he was such a great guy. A good friend from the 60s. So sorry to see this. The entire Sulphur Springs High School Class of 1965 is saddened by this.

Phil and I were fellow adjuncts at the Rio Grande campus throughout the '90s, and I looked forward to catching up with him at every History Department function thereafter, as he was, invariably, a fount of warmth, equanimity, and wit. Phil, thank you so much for your spirited camaraderie and kindness.

When are services? I've missed them. I'm sorry.
