"Skippy" Dean and I were good friends during our years at Kirtland (Elementary) School. I lived upstairs of the Dean family in the 2 family house on Corser Street between 1936 and '40. We walked to school together every morning, and I spent quite a few evenings downstairs visiting him and his two adorable little brothers. One thing we had in common was our love of BOOKS!!!
