Philip Arthur Donisi passed away on March 4, 2012, surrounded by family and friends. Born in Ohio on November 2, 1935, his family quickly made their way to Houston. Among his early accomplishments was his reputed status as the top Houston Chronicle sales boy from his East End perch at Harrisburg...

Not sure what to say?

I will always remember Mr. Donisi's energy and kindness. His participation in the Houston Volunteer Lawyers/Houston Bar Association event to provide estate documents to low-income seniors was always welcome. He interviewed twice as many individuals as most of us. You could count on Phillip to share a good joke in the midst of it all. The constant ringing of cell phones prompted him to joke about the number of VIPs in the room. To me, Phillip was always the most important person in the...

Phil was one of a kind. Had the priviledge of working with him on a number of legal matters, and he was excellent. Socially Phil could handle his own without compromise. Remember his attempt to influence the many runners at the marathon. Finally he admitted that there were shortcuts available for "certain" runners. It's amazing to me that one man could do so much to influence the lives of so many. Never saw Phil without a smile on his face. He is the godfather of one of my children, and...

I knew phillip in his Immaculate Conception days when his family moved into the parish. He was one of the smartest ones in our class. Prtty smart at St. Thomas high school. He was in my home room almost every year. He was a good man

Philip and I were in St. Thomas High for all four years and had several classes together, he was the smart one, me just another run-of-the-mill student, but he always had a kind word for any time I would begin to gripe about something. Somehow his words gave me the desire to keep on going when I felt like just dropping out of school; he will remain in my prayers each night.

Dear Philip,

Thank you for your wisdom and guidance over the years. Its unimagineable what my life would have been otherwise. I may have been the person most blessed by your life.
I love you,

andy

I knew Phillip only a short while. He impressed me with his strong character, humor and the love for his family. He was committed to what he highly valued. My sympathy to his loved ones. I will miss him.

To the family,

Mr. Donisi was like a breath of fresh air when walked into a room. I was a baby lawyer and we were doing our first clinic preparing estate documents for low-income seniors. I had no idea how this new project was going to work out. Mr. Donisi must have seen how concerned I was because he looked at me and said "We can do this. It's going to be fine." Each year as the project grew larger and larger I recalled his comforting words, "We can do this. It's going to be...

Mine is one of the countless lives Philip touched in a positive way. As a new attorney trying to find his way in the profession, Philip, and his partner, Andy, provided me part-time space in their office in return for my part-time services while allowing me to work on cases for the few clients I had in my own right. I am sure I got the better of the deal, in part because of my opportunity to associate with Philip. I will always cherish the memories I have of Philip arriving at the office at...

I am sorry to hear of Phils' death.
I have known him for 6-7 years and met with him almost every week. He was a good friend and mentor. His wit and wisdom were contagious and I will miss him so.
