Philip Duda

I think of my friend Phil now and then. The memory brings a smile to my face...not in instant smile the goes away in a flash but a slow smile that lasts and brings warmth to my heart. Phil was an amazing human being. He was a true friend, not just to me but everyone that he met. He is loved and missed.

I met Phil in 1961, when we were Freshmen at Christian Brothers College, in Memphis. We bonded as friends, and had some interesting adventures together, including creating a Newsletter for the Freshman class. I'm sorry to be late to finding Phil after almost 60 years. I wish I had been able to tell Phil he meant much to me as a friend, though it was a short few months. So I'll tell you, who had more time with him. I'm glad you were able to share happy times with him.

Rest in Peace Philip..... always admired your accomplishments and common sense.

They are fond and happy memories. We spent many a night out with Philip and Sondra, talking about the best things in life, children, vacations, wine, our four legged friends - it was all good. He was an upbeat, energetic, delightful man, and after reading his obituary, I learned things about him that I never knew, which is sad, because I would have liked to have known these things when he was alive, and we were together.
