A good guy who enjoyed racing and the entire racing `family´. His racing and his flagger responsibilities always reflected his love for the sport. I enjoyed all of my contacts with Phil. His race cars reflected history and competition. My last conversations with Phil were at Jerry Binner´s Northeast Racing Reunions at New Smyrna Speedway. He will be missed. God speed my friend.

Phil was a great guy. I was a fan of his when I was young and I had the opportunity to work with him at Lancaster Speedway in the 1980s. May he rest in peace. My condolences to his family.
