Philip Genet

We had some great memories of Jazz Fest and the Rock and Bowl with Phil. Although we have not seen him in a decade he will forever be in our hearts. Gary and Yvonne Tillyer

Love and condolences to Cheryl and the family. Another Sigma Rho brother here. Was graced to reconnect with Phil in 2009. He was always larger than life, full of energy, a great success story, and a great friend. So happy he found so much happiness with Cheryl. As Orin said, all our lives have been better for having shared some time with him.

Phil was my Sigma Rho fraternity brother, same pledge class. I loved him a lot. We bonded pledging, and my fondest memory was him catching my 6 yard touchdown pass to beat the hated Eta Sigs pledges in 1962. But we were on opposite sides for the fabled MHS - Gables football games. Such is life! I am happy to see what a rich life he led after distance, time and no (as yet) Internet separated us after high school. Wonderful relationships, especially the Great gift of grandchildren. May they...
