Not sure what to say?

Helen and Kathy, you don't have to read this to know the love and affection I had for Phil. I was granted a very rare opportunity to actually become a kind of adopted member of the Gerrard family. The hours spent quietly reading and sharing the occasional random thought with Phil instilled a love of reading I have never lost.
The time we spent working on the musical presentations for our quartet were fabulous.
Helen, you were such an important part of the whole Gerrard experience...

Aloha Helen and Kathy,
The High Schoolers at Orange Avenue Christian Church were surely blessed to have both you and Phil to guide us through a impressionable time of our lives. I have you to thank for my going to Chapman University and continuing to be an important part of my life. Because my Dad and I both worked at Alpha Beta in LaHabra, I was always close to that chain of stores. The unconditional love you both showed to all of us is memorable as we always knew you cared for us and...

Dear Helen, What sad news to hear of Plil's death. I often think of our youth group in the early fifties and what a strong influence you and Phil had on me. It was a life changing experience. I know my life would be very different today if it hadn't been for you and Phil. Dick
and I send our love to you and Kathy.

Helen and Kathy, you are in Betty's and my prayers. We will all miss this true Christian gentleman. At our Orange Ave Christian Church your family shared their Christian faith with me and Phil personally influenced my decision to get an education which in turn influenced my entire life.

As a young man, I worked at a Alpha Beta in El Modena, California in the late 60's. How well I remember Mr. Gerrard and what a kind gentleman he was. My condolences to his family.

My thoughts are with you, Helen. What a positive influence you and Phil made on all of us in the Junior High Youth Group of the Camile Christian Church, way back about 1960.
You and Phil took us under your wings and helped us flourish in that difficult age, and I thank you. What a fulfilling life Phil lived! He will be greatly missed.

Phil was such a caring friend. I will miss him. I am sure we all have special memorias of Phil. Love to Helen, Kathy and families

My thoughts and prayers are with you, espcially with you Helen, at this time.
