Philip J. "Flip" Gleavey, 71, died Thursday, May 24, 2012 at Home & Hospice Care of RI. He was the beloved husband of Debra J. (Castaldi) Gleavey. Born in Providence, he was the son of the June (Bransford) Gleavey and the late John Gleavey. He was employed as a foreman for the Warwick Highway Department for over 30 years and was owner of Ironhorse Scrap Metal business for 25 years. Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by six children, Lori, Patrick, John, Joseph, Philip, Jr. and Alfred Gleavey; twelve grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. His funeral service will be held Thursday at 11 am in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel, 2435 Warwick Ave. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Philip Gleavey Memorial Fund, 39 Edythe Street, Warwick, RI 02889 will be appreciated.
