Phil was an institutional part of our lives as a mentor / manager of my brother and an integral part of Lawrence and University of Kansas athletics. I smile at his gracious ways at work, his sense of humor, and his kind and affable manner. My condolences to family and friends. He was one of a kind, but I think he rubbed off some goodness on all he met.
