Not sure what to say?

My deepest condolences to Christine, Derrick, Misty and grandsons. My dad, Bennie Splain, and Philip had been great friends and hunting buddies for as long as I can remember. So, I always felt he was an extended part of our family. My dad passed away in 2012. A few years later during the Christmas holidays came a knock at the door. To our surprise, it was Philip and his son Derrick with the most delicious homemade baklava. Philip, you will always hold a very special place in my heart. ...

The world has lost a good man. Christine, I hope you can find comfort knowing how much Philip was thought of. And how much he thought of you. To the Hemphill family my condolences.

I first met Philip in the early 1990's in Las Vegas, NV at one of the 4 Queens shoots. Shot the Nationals in Albuquerque, NM where he won #10 the year after he won the Precision Pistol Nationals. He was down to earth and helped out the "little guys" with his vast knowledge of shooting. When he and Bobby Reed along with the rest of the MHP team were present good times and laughter were in abundance. My condolences to his family and look forward to meeting him someday at the great shooting...

In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always. So many wonderful things I could say about philip, he showed me how a boss should act toward his employees. He used to get onto to me for speeding anytime he seen me driving fast hahahaha. He truly loved his family!!! I'm so thankful that our paths crossed in this lifetime. Wonderful person inside and out.

As an FBI Agent I have great memories of Phil and the MHP range at the MHP Academy. I especially remember a private personal shooting competition making headshots with our revolvers at 50 yards. Needless to say he beat me every time.

Group of 10 Memorial Trees

My deepest sympathies for Christin and Philip's family!! Philip was a gentleman and one of the good people in this world. I enjoyed many shooting matches along side Philip and Charlie.

Single Memorial Tree

Christine, Sometimes you meet someone and they make your life better. Phillip did this for me.
