Other than being the greatest father-in-law one could ask for, I remember some of the experiences that we shared over the last 40 or so years:
1) Hundreds of cigars and games of gin rummy--most of which I let you win.
2) Your inability to remember my name for the first year or so--I never really liked the name Randolf Rader--this coupled with the fact that our Priest always called me Marty--I was getting a real complex.
3) Sharing a room with you in New York before...

My childhood memories include “the farm” – swimming, walks, the stories from my parents, your parents, the water pump, and the turn where we HAD to blow the horn, just to name a few! Going to the farm was like going to a far, far away place on earth, especially to a little girl.

I didn’t think I would be so emotional at your parent’s memorial services but I found myself remembering two special people who loved each other so much and shared their love with others in all they did. I...

Philip Kelly was a unique motivator for all the young folks he nurtured through their teens and beyond who toiled at "The Farm". He had the particular talent to determine what we might need some guidance on, whether it be education, morals, work ethic, etc. I guess you might call him a teacher, advisor, confidence builder and many more adjectives. Looking back, I remember how simple life was on "The Farm". We had a second mother and second father, both of whom we loved dearly and will miss...
