Philip Hudgens Kitchens

I had the privilege of laying Mr. Kitchens's wife, Crystal L. Kitchens, to rest in Minden, Louisiana in 2022. He was a simple man, I assumed, but after reading this obituary I see now just how accomplishable he was. I'm glad he's at peace now and reunited with his beloved wife.

I met Mr. Kitchens earlier this year at space camp. I remember being so excited to meet him because he had been my mentor since September from last year. He enthusiastically helped me with my path and my dream of working for NASA which was and still is one of the things I´m most grateful for. He was the kindest and sweetest soul and even though I know I wont be able to talk to him again, I am so happy that he can reunite with his beloved wife. I will always remember Phil and Crystal as loyal members of my Sunday School Class at First Methodist Church Huntsville and Phil as a faithful volunteer and generous benefactor in our Church Library.
