Not sure what to say?

I thought of Phil recently at the 40th Anniversary of the Women´s Olympic Trial Marathon. Phil was one of my training partners. His name comes up often when I´m with runners and former runners. He is missed by many.

Phil and I were classmates in Med school at GW - I thought of him recently because our class just celebrated our 50th reunion. His first wife Kay used to run with him during his early days while he would come to Honolulu with his dad and tennis playing mom. I am a semi-retired radiologist who was with him in the army, residency, and DC. I attended his marriage to Debra in Texas while living in Hawaii. So much to say but the previous notes and the photo say it all! He was a good man...

Oh what sad news! I worked for Dr. Kline back in the late 70's as nanny to Christopher and Phillip. He and his wife were wonderful employers, traveled with them to Puerto Vallarta in one of their marathons. I went back to visit the family about 15 years ago and it was so good to see them again. He was and...

Thank you Dr Kline for being a great mentor and such an exoerience working with you

Dr. Kline through his running group helped and encouraged me develop my love for running and endurance athletics. It was always a great treat to meet with him, he expressed a genuine interest in current developments with me and my family. I am very sorry to hear about his passing. Thank you Dr. Kline for your friendship and guidance it will never be forgotten. I am thinking about you, your family and praying for peace.

Phil's obituary captures the essence of who he was. Thank you for this wonderful tribute to a most profoundly, remarkable man. I am so sorry very for your families loss.
He and Jim White were my running buddies every morning at 5:30 am. He was like my coach! I'll never forget Phil pacing me in a marathon in Washington DC when I qualified ...because of HIM....for the first Women's Olympic Trails Marathon. Thank you Phil. I'll miss you.

Such a glowing tribute!
I remember Phil for the joy and fun he emanated. He was a friend and inspiration to all, and lived his gifted life to the fullest. We are blessed to have known him. Thanks, Phil for the happy memories.

Doctor Kline was a wonderful, and caring gentleman. I starting running in 1981 and spent many Sundays at Brackenridge park with him and other Marathon runners. He helped me to enjoy a lifetime of running. I will always be grateful for his friendship and his contribution to the Marathon runners of our city. Bill Keiffer
