I remember Phil dropping by to chat with my folks about duck hunting and such like including the story about my sister plucking the ducks Phil had let hang a bit too long and then trading them with my fathers good ducks to be sure she got her money. We have laughed about that over the years.

I also remember Phil and Louise coming to our island home in Norway twice, once with a bandaged head after falling in the shower in Oslo!

Hi Louise -

I just wanted to say how sorry I was to read about Phil's passing and his challenge with Alzheimer's. Alzheimer's is such a devastating disease.

Phil was a good friend of my folks - Max and Ruth Reader. He was also the lawyer who represented Craig and I (for free) on the closing of our first home.

I look at his picture and remember his smile and his jokes!

He will always hold a special place in our hearts.

fondly - Lynn (Reader) Russell

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

Louise,

So sorry to hear of Phil's passing. I always enjoyed his sense of humor. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Louise, Steven and Robert - My condolences on the loss of your husband and father. I will always remember Phil for his good sense of humor, his excellent knowledge of history (especially Essex Junction) and his willingness to help others. A well traveled man with many interesting stories to share with others.

Louise,

My condolences to yourself and the boys on the passing of Phil. I always enjoyed talking sports with him.

Sincerely,
Joe Prairie
